CranioSacral Therapy in Oakland, CA
CranioSacral Therapy is an effective, non-invasive form of bodywork that has proven to be beneficial for all kinds of health problems, from minor aches and pains to severe and persistent conditions. As a skilled CranioSacral practitioner, I listen with my hands to the subtle rhythms of the body, detecting restrictions and imbalances held in its various systems, especially the nerves, tissues and fluids.
CranioSacral Therapy reawakens your body’s innate healing capacity to free restricted nerves, realign soft tissues and bones, relax tense muscles and relieve pain. CranioSacral Therapy also facilitates the gentle release of unprocessed emotion and trauma.
CranioSacral Therapy effectively treats:
- Migraines and Headaches
- TMJ syndrome
- Chronic neck & Back pain
- Depression, anxiety, spiritual crisis
- Auto immune disorders, chronic fatigue
- Concussions and PTSD
- Abuse Trauma
- Infertility
- Pre and Post-natal mom & baby care
- Learning disabilities, ADD, hyperactivity and autism
- Tinnitus
In my sessions, I incorporate CranioSacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, SomatoEmotional Release and energy work. It is my goal that you leave your session feeling empowered around your own health and more connected to your body.
CranioSacral Therapy helps reconnect you to your body’s innately wise and self-healing capacities. I believe that physical injuries and illnesses are our opportunity to communicate with our deeper wisdom.

Craniosacral Therapy FAQ’s
What should I do to prepare for our CranioSacral therapy session?
Please wear loose comfortable clothing to allow for more freedom of movement and greater comfort during the CranioSacral session.
How does a CranioSacral therapy session begin?
At the beginning of every session I do a nonverbal check-in with you and your body. This allows me to get a sense of what is happening in your system and what your body may need in this moment. Afterwards, we’ll talk about your health, both past and present, and your intentions for the session. This is a time for you to share anything that may be going on in your life and your body. The combination of what I feel from your body and what I hear from you, will guide us in our work together ensuring that we get to the most prominent things for you during the session.
How many CranioSacral therapy sessions will I need?
The number of CranioSacral sessions you may need is generally dependent on the severity of the issue and the length of time you have been dealing with it. However, every body is different. I will say that most people notice a difference in their symptoms after the first 1 or 2 CranioSacral therapy sessions. Generally, after the first or second session we will have a better idea of how many sessions you will need to meet your health goals.
How should I take care of myself after a CranioSacral therapy session?
It is a good idea to not schedule any strenuous activity for at least the next 24 hours after your session, and sometimes for 48 hours. Your body will be processing and integrating a lot of new information, as well as building new pathways of movement. If you exert your body too soon, there is a good chance that you will habitually engage the old ways of doing things, thereby overriding the new emerging pathways. By giving yourself some time and space after the CranioSacral session your body will have a chance to integrate and strengthen, forming more productive and easeful ways of being and doing.
How will I feel after my CranioSacral therapy session?
Take a walk outside. Walking is great for integrating new information as well as oxygenating your blood. Be gentle with yourself. Sometimes emotions that have been stored in the tissues of your body find their way out during or after the session. This is energy in motion, and for some, part of the healing process. As much as you can, allow this to happen. It will pass leaving you with a lighter, freer feeling. Some people occasionally experience a worsening of their symptoms after a CranioSacral therapy session. This too can be part of the healing process and is usually soon followed by marked improvement in overall well-being. Even still, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns about this process.
